PhotoTerras from Expedio
PhotoTerras – capture GPS metadata embedded into photographs, add metadata, add watermarks, browse and export to GIS or Google Earth format for viewing and manipulation.
This product is in development and due for release very soon. Planned features include:
- Read all image metadata: Read available metadata from your Digital Camera, camera with attached GPS device or handheld/cellphone with GPS capabilities.
- Include orientation and memo fields if available: Phototerras will accommodate GPS Cameras that provide extra metadata capabilities such as compass/orientation and memo fields.
- Add metadata watermarks to images for printing: Create watermarks on your images, which could include desired metadata, comments and custom logo or text.
- Augment GPS data (conversion to Grids, lat/long, UTM): Convert the GPS metadata to various Grids/Models.
- Tag non-GPS images with GPS Data: Add GPS data tags to images from non-GPS cameras.
- Review/Edit/Add metadata and comments: Review, update image metadata and add custom fields.
- Associate other media files to image (e.g. Audio, meter readings): Custom fields could be media files (such as audio commentary), readings from other attached devices that are relevant to the image or hyperlinks for example.
- Export data to GIS format: Export data to Shape files or other formats for import into GIS.
- Generate automatic thumbnails, popup images/links and Field of View in GIS: Augment the GIS import data e.g. display thumbnail images on hover, display popup images on click, display field of view of image on the map.
- Export data for Google Maps and Google Earth: Export data to KML format for display or further processing in Google Maps and google Earth.
- Produce HTML output with images and maps: Create formatted HTML reports with watermarked images and associated maps and metadata.
- Export to CSV: Export data to CSV or other formats for import into Excel or other software.
- Export to SQL/XML: For example, Generate SQL 'insert' scripts so that data can be loaded into a database.
